Gracias!

Lucky! I was able to blog this morning.. I'm about to sleep now but I just can't pass this one. An email I got from a friend who reminds me all the time that there is LIFE outside my room. Not that I disagree, I just don't find it helpful at the moment-- because I need plenty of sleep.

Weekend Proposal

I was reunited once again with my movie buddies at work last Friday. Right after our shift, we went to the nearest movie house to watch ‘The Proposal’. We had a quick meal at Sbarro first before the movie starts.



The film was hilarious. I just hoped that it wasn’t Sandra Bullock who played Margaret’s role. It’s not that I don’t like her; she was great in that movie. It’s just that I feel she’s too old for Ryan or too mature if that’s the right word.



Ryan Reynolds, on the other hand, was great. His acting was authentic and he was able to match Sandra’s performance. I can’t believe he can do comedy. And- what else could I say- smokin’ HOT! But one realization though: his butt is not that good. I mean, it’s a little too flat, isn’t it? Or I’m just blind. But overall, he’s gorgeous!

Recommendation: Go and watch it! FOUR stars from me. Meg and JM agreed anyway. =)

family affairs

I have almost forgotten how it was like to have a family. With so many things in my mind – work, priorities, desires… – I almost failed to realize that I still have a family who would like to be with me when they go out, when they watch TV, when they eat… Not to mention the nature of my work, it became almost impossible to adjust my body clock, even during weekends, to meet their demands.

I congratulate myself though. I was able to spend quality time with my folks last Saturday. Like they always say, if there’s a will, there’s a way (there is ALWAYS a way, I thought).



We had our dinner at RACKS Restaurant in Festival Mall. We seldom do this kind of stuff anymore since my father’s death back in ’05. It just reminds us that we are no longer complete, nor will ever be complete, in the dining table. But last Saturday was different. We managed to be happy. It feels great as we catch up with everyone. It was even more fun as we were joined by my cousin who celebrated her birthday last week and Rev. Father Nady (a close family friend) who also celebrated his birthday yesterday.

We finished the night eating Tiramisu at home prepared by my mom. It was lovely and wonderful- my stomach was full and the experience was far-fetched. And that, I should say, was one of the best Saturdays I ever had. I know there’s more to come.

F&H: Denim Campaign

About two weeks ago when a close friend in the office told me about this hot poster while shopping for her 'outfit of the week'.

"It's like multiple O right there and then!", she cried.

Then I found out that she's referring to the new face of Folded & Hung: Justin Hills who is half-Filipino/half-Brit (if I'm not mistaken).

Oriental Invasion

Notwithstanding the demanding schedule at work, I just can’t give up my afternoon habit- Boys Over Flowers! I know that there are a lot of DVD copies already being sold but I still prefer the ‘tagalized’ version. I’m not really a fan of subtitles. =)

And yesterday’s episode… OMG..! I found another hotness to add to my oriental flavors: Jung Eui Chul

my new boy toy!

I just celebrated my birthday recently and I realized that I'm aging backwards!

Why did I say that? Well, because lately I've been spending too much time watching.... chadan-- oriental novelas!

And it's not just appreciating the show but giggling over the cute characters like the guy in Hana Kimi and Princess Hours and now, Boys Over Flowers! I don't have the teenage libido like when I was in college but I just can't help it (pun intended of course!).

So I just want to introduce my new 'crush': Kim Bum

My goodness- I bought the pirated DVD version of Boys Over Flowers and I'm still watching the tagalized version every afternoon!
